Learn yoga from a functional perspective.
Hañsa believes that the practice of yoga is explorative and investigative. The Hañsa Yoga 200 Fundamental training will cultivate greater awareness, knowledge and experience of your body and self. The Hañsa 200 Fundamental Training is accredited by Yoga Alliance enabling RYT200 registration on successful completion of the programme.
Hañsa yoga combines Eastern and Western philosophies to teach yoga from its fundamental roots. We believe this is essential to understanding the practice of yoga from developmental and evolutionary perspectives.
The curriculum focuses on the study of the body from a biomechanical perspective to fully understand the functions and movement of the body as a fundamental layer for the practice of yoga.

Principles of practice
The practice of postures
Fundamental & supportive pranayama
Functional anatomy & physiology
Body movement & biomechanics
Introduction to functional touch as an experiential approach
This training is suitable for:
- Students with existing yoga practice & interest to deepen their understanding of yoga
- Students/ practitioners who are interested to start teaching yoga.
- Existing yoga teachers seeking a deeper understanding of yoga & teaching from a functional perspective.
- Movement, bodywork, & fitness practitioners, personal trainer, and other health professionals interested in understanding yoga from a functional perspective.
The training is delivered face-to-face in 2 blocks of consecutive days.
- Block 1 (10 days): Friday January 15 to Sunday January 24 2021.
- Block 2 (9 days): Saturday May 22 to Sunday May 30 2021 (NZ School holidays)
This training will be taught by Vincent Bolletta, founder and director of Hañsa, and Dr. Jane Hardcastle, yoga therapist, founder and co-director of MoveWell.
Vincent Bolletta & Hañsa
Vincent is the founder of Hañsa, a unique style that integrates eastern and western thought and methodologies to the practice of yoga, movement, and therapy.
Hañsa has developed an 800 hours yoga therapy professional training programme that supports a process of healing and awakening through principles of human fundamental movement patterns and embodiment. Using this as the basis to gain greater insight into individual function as well as understanding one’s physical, mental and energetic needs.

Requirements: It is recommended that participants have an existing personal yoga practice before commencing the training. Attendance at face-to-face teaching sessions throughout the two intensive blocks is mandatory
